We’ve designed the entire filament feeding system with a reusable spool, resulting in at least 20% less plastic waste in filament consumption. Our choice of packaging material is carefully considered to minimize the use of non-recyclable materials.
Here’s how to refill a filament on the Bambu Reusable Spool.
Video Operation
Step 1: Twist-open the reusable spool
Step 2: Please locate the locator, a tiny block on the wide piece(Without pulling out the plastic strips!)
Align the spool locator with the notch on the inner ring of the filament roll.
Note: Please refer to the figure below to snap the spool into place.

Step 3: Tear apart and pull out the plastic strips
Tear apart and pull out the plastic strips closest to the end of the filament first. Then, insert the end into the spool’s holes to prevent the filament from unraveling or becoming entangled. Finally, tear apart and pull out the remaining three plastic strips.
Step 4: Press the filament hard
Press the filament to ensure it spreads out and is close to the spool, ensuring there is no gap between the filament and the spool.
Step 5: Stick the included label into the oval groove on the side of the spool
